Did they call you to set up your final appointment? They sent me something saying they would contact me, but I haven't gotten a call yet. Hmmm......

They initially sent me a letter that they'd be calling to set up an appointment for final arrangements back in early April.

I was just about to contact them when then they called us to make the final arrangements appointment few weeks later. Since your date is only a little while after me, it couldn't hurt to give them a call to make the appointment. Its basically to finalize the menu, pick your linens, pick the cake, they give you a seating chart and a list of all the things you'll need to give them the week prior to your wedding, etc (favors, other items you want at the recept, etc). And of course , you talk about the $$$$ !!

I'm not sure if we're going to do the Wok or Crepe station either...is it included in the price or extra?

I love the sound of the Mediterranean station...yummy!!!!

How many flavor options did they give you on the cake? That's the one thing they didn't go over on the initial meeting.

It is an insane amount of food they offer, isn't it? I keep telling people not to eat for a couple days before!

Here are the cake choices (these are included)

Cake: yellow sponge, devils food, or carrot. Also told us we could do a 'marble cake' if we liked.

Fillings: chocolate mousse, vanilla mousse, raspberry mousse, strawberry mousse, lemon mousse, lemon pie filling, chocolate pudding, vanilla pudding, strawberry pie filling, raspberry preserves, canolli cream, cream cheese.

Butter cream frosting, any colors , decorations you'd like. Or left plain if you'd rather have your florist decorate with fresh flowers (that is what we are doing)

Ralph told us that we could tailor the 'cake' to our specifications (i.e, if we wanted different cakes on different layers, etc)

As for styles, tiers shapes - TOO MANY to choose from! 4 tiers is standard

They'll replicate any cake you might have seen a picture of, etc. .. but for an additional charge)

And yes -- they include just SO much food at Thatched! I'm just hoping WE get to enjoy it as much as the guests will

Hi Lauren!! Yes I am VERY excited and it will be here before I know it! I feel like I have so much more to do, but at the same time cannot wait for the day to finally get here

There are quite a few of us LIW/Thatched brides coming up this July and August .. then you in the fall! You'll be surprised how quickly time flies!!

I know that someone on here was married there this past weekend, I cannot recall who but I hope to see some pics!!

I just signed my contract for Oct.7 2005 !
I'm so excited! I can't wait to read everyones reviews!

Did you guys do your food tasting yet? how was it?

I wonder what happened to Shellee...we never heard back from her...I hope all went well at her 5/30 wedding at TC.

Brace yourself....it wasn't great. Hopefully we can avoid some problems now that we have the heads-up.
