So my sister just made the menu for my nephew's Bar Mitzvah and the caterer, my nephew and my BIL had to convince her to have pigs in a blanket on the adult side of the cocktail hour. It killed her to do that. So I told her people like them. So who cares they are hot dogs. Id much rather have one of those than have bruschetta or a mini lamb chop (though I am having those two but thats besides the point). Who is with me on this???

How about 'Porc en couverture' - sounds fancy schmancy.
(I used an online French dictionary and I have no idea if it is right!!!)

Re: Pigs in a blanket
Soory, but I have to disagree with you on this one....only because I hate them!
However, I was watching a show where they were interviewing a caterer, and he said that he has them even for millionaires!!!
So, if ya like'em.......I say go for it!

Re: Pigs in a blanket
My brother has a rule, he cannot tell if a catering hall is good until he tries the Pigs in a blanket. Thankfully the Watermill passed at the showcase he was at with me.

Re: Pigs in a blanket
OMG - I LOVED the mini hot dogs at my wedding. They had sesamies on them too with this excellent mustard. I loved them so much and I usually don't care for them so much.
Oh, we had the lambchops and caviar during our CH too, but the mini hot dogs are what the caterer ran out of.
