So, I am going to the doctor to ask for some sort of pills so that I dont freak out on the plane.... I start to get anxiety and short of breath because I am so scared.... I want something that will make me be okay- but not something that is going to make me pass out for hours.
What pill do you recommend I ask for?

,25 which is very low will deff help.. Your doc will probally advise you to try it before you actually fly to see how it effects you.
My doc told me to take half then the other half. I was fine the whole time. I could function and everything. Speak with your doctor
Same here - 1/2 of the lowest dose worked well enough to calm my frayed nerves but not put me to sleep. However, Benadryl can do the trick as well if you want to go to sleep (well, at least that's what it does for me).

Yep, a xanax and benadryl cocktail should do the job well.
Try to avoid mixing these two types of meds together. If you plan on trying it, mention it to your doctor first. Benzodiazepines (such as Xanax) generally should not be taken with an antihistamine like Benadryl which causes drowsiness. Just a word of advice...

def xanax. i dont get nervous flying, but i always get really bad anxiety like the night before we go away somewhere worrying about all the stuff that has to get done before we leave. a little xany always evens me out.
