place cards at eparty?

Ok, my Fiance wants to do place cards at the eparty, I dont think I really want to do them...

I do understand his point so Im willing to do something does anyone have any creative ways to do place cards other then the little cards ???

No theme...
My favors are candles with red ribbon attached and STD magnets. Other then that nothing else

is there anyway to attach a small card to the ribbon on the candle that tells them where they sit? or who sits where?

I am going to do placecards, mostly b/c my divorced and remarried parents will be there, with their new spouses who will all be meeting eash other for the first time .

I am doing a beach theme, and my hall does provide us with placecards. However, I found CHEAP votives, so am tossing around the votive placecard holder (it'll be cheaper for the E-party of 65-70 guests, than the wedding of at least 175!).

OR, I have seen these cute placecard holders that have different fish on them. Or maybe the ones that are seashells.

I like the votive placecards b/c it's not THAT expensive when you're doing a small quantity.
