I don't like the ones the hall gave us! Can everyone please post placecard or seating chart ideas and tell me where you got it and how much $... or if you did them yourself tell me how you did it and how much time it took.
Thanks!

Re: Placecard ideas
do you mean the holders or the actual placecards? I got these and ended up buying the sheet of placecards that you can run through the computer..it's just easier
For my placecards my idea is to have my place cards with calligraphy then tied around the stem of a martini glass. The martini glass would be a cute gift with the placecard. I found some for a $1.99 each

Re: Placecard ideas
We are also using the ones that our hall gave us and they are alright, just plain ecru and they fold over, and sit on the table folded and when you pick it up on the inside it says' you are seated at'.I cant see spending more money for other ones when these are perfectly fine and they will be thrown out or left on the table at the end of the night, i am sure they are fine, and they will look great, so if i were you i would use them and not spend more for new ones, but jmo...Hope it helps......

What are you giving for a favor? Is there anyway you can incorporate the 2 together?

Re: Placecard ideas
We did individual frames. They were really cute and we got them for .89 cents.
Check out Inkspun (www.inkspun.com) he prints place cards very inexpensively, about 39 cents each...he prints them in three different formats with a variety of different fonts and he gets them done quickly. We are using him and we also used him for our invitations, program cards, and menus and he is quick and easy to work with. Good luck!

We are doing donations and candy. I want to keep them seperate. Frames are cute but I don't want to get cheesy cheap ones so then I think I will spend too much money. Where did you get those heidla?

Re: Placecard ideas
Found the instructions!!! No pic or link though
'Making Seating Cards' if calligraphing the names and numbers, do so after the chairs are formed. If printing, do so before cutting the paper.
The name goes on the panel for the back, and the table number on the panel for the seat.
1. To form each paper chair, you will need one 11-by-2 1/4 inch strip of card stock; you can fit three on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet. Use a bone folder to score each strip into four sections: a top one that's 4 1/4 inches long, then 3 equal 2 1/8 inch sections. 2. fold the strip at the top score line; the short section of the L will be the chair's back. 3. Bring the horizontal part of the strip down as shown, and fold at the next score line, formng the chair back and starting the seat. 4. Fold the strip down at the front of the seat to make the front legs Use a glue stick or double-sided tape to secure the two layers of the chair back together. Set right side up and trim, if necessary!
Sorry about typos - I'm not checking!!
