I don't like the ones the hall gave us! Can everyone please post placecard or seating chart ideas and tell me where you got it and how much $... or if you did them yourself tell me how you did it and how much time it took.
Thanks!

Re: Placecard ideas
For anyone who wants do the votives idea check out www.cudge.net
They sell votives, tea lights, candles and some other stuff at a VERY reasonable price. Less than half of what florists and other suppliers were quoting me.
If you can drive in on a week day (they are in Manhattan I think near 23rd and 6th) you can pick it up and save on shipping.
I work so close to them and I wish I could do this but I can't commute with 4 boxes weighing 42 lbs so I am paying for shipping (cuz the boxes are heave shipping is understandably higher than usual) But, I am ordering 144 frosted votives and 144 10 hour candles and I am paying with shipping under $100.

BUMP! Let's make this a 'placecard' thread. Or do we already have one of those???
I am also thinking of doing this with the names instead of numbers.
A small picture frame with the seating card in it.

Re: Placecard ideas
The cork is really a cute idea. I also was at a hall on Sat. where the bride did not use numbers, but 'Laughter', 'Love', etc. It was a good idea that I might steal!

Re: Placecard ideas
I am thinking of using one of these. My only concern with #1 is how I'm going to fit those names on a small peice of paper like that and have people able to read it.
