Re: Placecard tree??
There is a pic on here. Just search 'placecards' or 'hanging placecards'. I'd post it if I knew how! I'm also doing hanging placecards. My centerpieces are laurel branches with hanging candles and i plan to buy two vases from michaels (one for A-L, M-Z), load it with floral foam, stick some fake branches in and tie the placecards to it with some thin ribbon. It sounds simple, but I'm sure it will be a headache! Good luck with yours!

Where are you getting the branches from? I looked at some in Michael's, but the branches didn't seem strong enough to hold the cards.

Re: Placecard tree??
I'm doing iced branches for one of the fireplaces at our RH. I looked at Michaels, AC Moore and Ikea. I found exactly what I was looking for at Joann's Fabrics on Old Country Road in Westbury. HTH.

Re: Placecard tree??
I am doing this also, but my florist is giving me the branches for free so its one less DIY to do. I found the craft branches to be too short also. I am using cherry blossoms.
So far, my 'plan' is to hang long ribbons from the top and attach the cards to the ribbon using those spiral paper clips. The cards will go alphabetically from top to bottom and then around the tree. I am just doing one large tree. I may get some stuff from michaels to test it out first because I'm not sure how it will look with long strands with cards coming down the tree.
My florist mentioned hanging each one individually and then the guests can write a little note to you on the back and hang it back on the tree.
If they are individual, I thnk it may be more difficult to fnd so you may want to tell your RH to have someone at the table to help guests find their cards (most RH already do this.
I saw it on one of those wedding shows, but never in real life so I'm nt certain on the practicality of it.
