playin hooky. . .

So as I explained in another thread I woke up this morning - saw snow and ran back under the covers. . . just because I have been at this job for about a year and a half and have never taken a fake sick day.

Unfortunately, I didnt inform anyone so my parents came running into my room freaking out a few minutes later - and poor FH even got up and dressed bc he thought he had to drive me!

So after I got all that sorted out- i called my manager and called in sick and went back to sleep until 11am

And now I plan on hanging out with FH and Brutus all day - but somewhere in the back of my mind i get that guilty ( they know i am not really sick) feeling and it is all my parents' fault! They used to send me to school with fevers, PINK EYE and in blizzards. One day in elementary school the PRINCIPAL saw me walking to school and told my parents 'Why are you doing this take that child back home there is a blizzard!!!!' LOL They had this 100% attendance goal every year and they totally messed me up.

anywho - now i have a federal job - i have over 20 sick days and gosh darn it i am going to use them

And we must've had the same parents because my mom would send us no matter what. She said she wanted to see blood and/or vomit in order to keep us home.

my parents sent me to school with PINK EYE - the nurse screamed at my dad when he came to pick me up - she was like 'Do you want to start an epidemic?' and my dad said 'I told her not to touch anything!'

I took a half day!!!
It's nice to be home alone and relax

thanks girls - i know it shouldnt but that made me feel better and we had a great day - watched the goonies and pigged out
