Sorry honey, but I don't think it is a valid point at all. You have faith in your relationship, FH has faith in your relationship, and one fight (a year or twenty from now) is not going to break it in two. Besides, I didn't hear FH saying he wanted to break it off, I heard FMIL telling him to break it off b/c FBIL was a jerk. (which in and of itself makes no sense)

It sounds to me like there is more going on here, like some financial issue with FIL that they didn't anticipate in the beginning. If that is the case, and they are paying for their guests, then they will just have to reduce the numbers to something they can handle.

That is totally ludacris (sp?)! We are all entering into our marriages w/ good faith that we will stay w/ this person forever. From what I've read above, there is nothing going on b/w the 2 of you that would cause a breakup. It seems like it involved FBIL and FMIL acting like lunatics. Or am I missing some big piece of the puzzle?
