Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
Please help I need actual quotes from you. I need a beautiful place that can accomodate up to 100 people for a friday night in august 2005. My max per person is 58 with gratuities plus tax. We can't afford more than that. If not i'm flexible to do it in april only hve to sacrifice it. really looking forward to do it in august. also it has to be close to the city and queens. My whole wedding budget is 10500 for 94 people. that includes us plus vendors, family and friends. Please help. I'm loosing hope. If not a hall can you recommend a good off site caterer that travels to queens. thanks again.

Villa Russo's in Queens is good. Their big room is so nice. I had my e-party in that room and everyone loved the room. The food is fantastic as well
Re: Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
Did you try Brentwood Country Club? They have a package for about $10,000 that includes just about everything.
Also i know the the Huntington Townhouse is pretty inexpensive. I got a quote there for $50 pp plus tax and gratuity for a Saturday afternoon in August.
Also try the Swan Club, they are pretty inexpensive and it is a nice place also. I think on Sunday or Saturday it is $55 pp during the day and they have rooms that fit smaller parties.

Chataue La Mer in Lindenhurst is great- might be a little more then you budgeted for- you might get a better deal for a different month. Also try Sunset Harbour in Patchogue, they are vendors here. Speak with Andy, he's the manager/owner. Also, the holiday inn in plainview and I think Ronkonkoma/ Islip/ McCarther Airport have all inclusive packages like the Brentwood CC. If you don't get the all inclusive, DUET is a great inexpensive photographer/videographer.

YOu definitely might want to try someplace that has an all inclusive package- like Arian Waterfall or Stuart Thomas Manor.

You might want to try Leonard's in Great Neck. It's about a 15 min. drive from College Point, I know that, if you take Cross Island to LIE. I'm paying $70 for a Friday in November without tax and gratuity. But I added on shrimp which I know added on $6. I also added parisian dessert and two meat carvings, and I know the guy said if I did it in August, the price would be $3 lower per person, and he also said they're negotiable Friday nights, so you might want to give them a try and talk to them about your situation. But I wouldn't take too long. They were really booked when I needed to book a day. Luckily they gave me another room since the other was booked for all the days I wanted.

Hi...I thought I might let you know that I found some info. on @ prices on this place in Manhattan http://trattoriadopoteatro.com/. Someone on theknot.com said they have packages between $35-45 pp...Let me know what they tell you if you happen to check it out. I also wanted to add that Leonards of Great Neck might be able to work with your budget as well as The Coral House, Manor East, Riccardo's by the Bridge(Queens off the Triboro), Astoria Manor, Brunos on the Blvd., Antuns in Westbury. I will check my notes and let you know what they quoted me. Good Luck

Try fifteenth and West at the Nassau County Bar Association, that's where I got married. Very elegant, and not too expensive. I think I paid like 75$pp but that was for a saturday night, with extras.

I would agree with the girls who told you Coral House, Huntington Townhouse or Brentwood CC. The is also a place called The Crystalbrook in East Meadow, just off the Meadowbrook Pkwy, that does the package deals for $10000. Good luck to you, our budget went out the window pretty quick. The stuff adds up seperately, that's why you may want to do a package deal.
Re: Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
Contact Jennypenny shes all over this board.. i saw her post on another board (unless its someone else) i think you can get SM in Sept. for $65 pp and they throw in flowers that you can maybe use as centerpieces that alone will save you over $1000.00 but talk to her for the details! Good luck
Re: Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
Also check out Colleges or Universities (they have AC too) near you and VFW halls or even fancy 'family' restauants... you can decorate them all really nice... I have seen some Colleges do a great job with some of their fancy rooms and in Aug they should def. have availability !!! I hope it works out for you!!!
You may want to look into cutting corners see if someone you know who can bake can make you your wedding cake as your gift, if you purchase your own booze you can later return anything that has not been opened. Use Balloons instead of flowers, You can even ask close family members to make a tray of hot food (i saw this on a wedding story - the couple had a lot of stuff donated) and do your own coffee with urn ... try to see whats most important and put a few xtra $$ in to that ... Good luck

definetly check out country clubs in your area and places that give a package for everything, so you know just what you are getting and at what price. Good luck!

Re: Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
I bet you the Riviera would do that for you. The place is beautiful for a summer wedding and on the water. They are very very affordable and also able to work with the price, based on your needs. I totally recommend there, not just because I am getting married there, but it sounds like what you are looking for. Best of luck! Congrats on the

You could also try John Anthonys they have been having trouble since the Newsday article I am sure they could work with you. I too would recommend the Brentwood Country CLub, Hunington Town House, Coral House, Swan Club, Stewart Manor CC, and alot of the catering halls on a saturday or sunday afternoon.

Re: Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
Stick to a friday night or Sat or Sun afternoon and you'll do fine. I heard of a place called Riccardo's by the Bridge...I think it's in Queens and I heard they are affordable and accomodate smaller affairs. Riviera will NEVER do it for you for that price except maybe for a Monday night in Jan (I'm NOT assuming -- I asked!!) Another possibility: Durrow's of Glendale. Good luck!!

Re: Please help. I need inexpensive but elegant reception hall
Just thought of one other place -- but it's out east that you can def get around that price range -- Sunset Harbor in East Patchogue.... it's probably too far east for you but check it out, they are on the water also and very pretty.

Id like to second Stewart Manor Country Club.. im booked there. min of 100 pp and includes cake, centerpieces with flowers, linens you choose, cocktail hour & sit down dinner menu.
Mine was well under $10,000 for that. I was under $9,000 actually. It's worth a look.

yep, that's me. Stewart Manor COuntry Club I got for $65pp, sunday in September, Labor Day weekend (mind you I am still looking for someone to take my contract). I still love the place, but needed to go to a lower, than 100 person, minimum. Cake included, flowers, full cocktail hour with hot & cold dishes, carving stations, etc. all wood floors, fireplace, only 1 event at a time.
