I know this is a real dumb question! But, I am totally confused about this marriage licese thing.
What do we need to get it? Where do we get it? And what does it mean that a marriage certificate expires in 30 days?
I am so confused!

You have to wait until you are within 30 days of your wedding before you can get it. you can get them at town hall, you and FH have to go their togeather with your birth certificates and ID.

are there blood tests that we have to take? I heard that we had to do that for a NY license, is that true?

There are no longer blood tests in NY, or in most states for that matter.

I just wanted to add that you can get your license 60 days before your wedding but you have to wait 24 hrs before you can get married so definately don't wait until the last minute and I believe the fees are $25

It's actually 60 days, so you can get it before all the real craziness sets in.
