Please help me with my RSVP date

OK, my wedding date is August 2, 08, and my rsvp date is June 1...So for May 17th, March 31st?

isn't 2 months before your wedding a little early to have people RSVP?? Just curious I am not even close to getting invites haha I stil have 11 months but it will be nice to know the normal amount of time especially since my wedding is 5 days before christmas and I would need to send them out early.

i was thinking the same lol...im like oh no i dont even have my invites yet...but i think april 17th is fine, well at least thats what i am doing. Like someone else said that will give me a week for people who are late and then a week after that to contact those who didn't rsvp. I have to give final count 10 days so on may 7th i go to my RH with the final numbers. I think from april 17th to may 7th is more than enough time for late responders and also to track ppl down

I would put April 1st. It gives you plenty of time.

My wedding is July 11th and my rsvp is June 1st

I was thinking of putting an RSVP of September 1st- which is a month & a half- but only because ours is a holiday weekend and because we are not sending out STDs- since yours is around the holiday, you might want to consider that too.

eta- melissa i think a month ahead is fine for yours since its on a normal weekend

I think Diana ( invite lady) picked that date b/c August is such a busy wedding time and so I wouldn't be stressing, plus there are always people you have to follow up on

thanks!!! yeah I was wondering since mine is 5 days before christmas maybe i should have a little bit of time to allow for late RSVPers haha especially knowing my dad's side of the family. They will tell me as they are arriving to the wedding that they are coming.

plus i am not sure if I am sending out STD's either so maybe that is a good idea.

We already ordered our invites and our RSVP date is April 13th

i am giving 2 weeks time to follow up on people...if by may 7th i dont know peoples responses then i am not even going to continue trying to find out and i am just automatically putting them down as not coming. If any of fh's side hasnt responded then hes handling that, if my parents friends havent responded then they'll handle that...if any of my friends dont respond then ill handle it...other than that i am not going to go crazy. For my e-party ppl drove me nuts so im not even going to care about inconsiderate ppl, 2 weeks after my rsvp date is alot of time for them to respond, after that i am saying sorry but its too late hahahaha
