Please help my sister find a hall

Original post by gfield101

My sister is about to lose her marbles. She has looked at the following places.

The Fox Hollow
The Harbor Club
Woodbury Country Club
The Riviera
Hamlet WInd Watch
Westbury Manor ($$)
The Venitian ($$)
Flowerfields ($$$)
The Bayview House at Captain Bills
Milleridge Inn Cottage
Chateau La Mer

Either the room is too cramped, or she cant afford it, or her FH is not thrilled with the location of the place.

Can you suggest a place with the view like the Hamlet or on the water, but with a large room like The Milleridge Cottage? Or just another place in general she can look that isnt too $$$?

Ideally she loves The Thatched Cottage, but thats where I got married and she doesnt want to re do the same wedding.

OK these are her stipulations...

Can someone please tell her, she is on crack ??

-Must have a large room (for comfort of guests) I agree with
-Must be in July (july 9th preferably so she can drive her sister crazy)
-Must be in Suffolk, but not too far east lol (even though she is having a 1pm mass)
-Must be a Saturday night.
-Must be $110 or less (preferably $100) before tax n grat.
-Must be in a scenic and nice area.

i don't think she's on crack. they are not far fetche stipulations but she has to really narrow down what she likes. your never going to get everything you want - so they will both have to compromise.

How about the Old Field Club? Its on the water and reminds me of the Milleridge, and its only one wedding at a time.

I second the Old Field Club!! It's a gorgeous hall on the water and is one wedding at a time. Their rates are $110pp for a Friday or Sunday wedding and $130pp for a Saturday wedding (both quotes are before tax and tip). The max they hold is about 160 people (but that may be a little tight). I have some pics in my album. FM me with any questions.

I think Stonebridge Country Club fits what she wants. It is only one wedding for the entrire day! They are very reasonably priced! They are on a golf club not water though. I did a food tasting there and it was amazing! The bridal suite is also like a hotel suite. Amazing!

The only reasons I chose the Watermill is the chaircovers are included and since I am getting married there, the flowers for the ceremony are included. I got an amazing deal from the Watermill so it all came down to the money.
But, I definitely think you can get Stonebridge for $100 or less!

What about Lombardis on the Sound or on the Bay? I didn't book with them because I'm having a pretty big wedding but they are both very pretty. I liked Villa Lombardis the best even though they are not located on the water but there immaculate, soo clean and professional and the food is amazing!!!

How large are we talking?

Large rooms with large minimums have pretty heftty prices where only one event happens at a time especially on Saturday nights in the summer. If Westbury Manor was too $$$, I don't know that she's going to find what she's looking for in her price range... someone may have to compromise either the time, or the one wedding thing.

Good luck though, I hope she finds it! I, unfortunately, don't have any more suggestions in addition to what the other girls said already.
