Everyone is suggesting wigs which would work for hair, I haven't seen to many suggestions on the teeth, my suggestion is, I know my dentist works on payment plans I've needed a lot of dental work to get my teeth fixed for the wedding, and they took like $100 each month till its paid off, or anther suggestion, its going to sound crazy, but craigslist has a section barter and maybe you can barter with a dentist put an ad up for what you need, and maybe you or Fh are a professional of something that you can offer to them..HTH my prayers go out to you and your family, I've walked in similar shoes as you so I know how hard it is, and your being so strong!

Have you looked into asking her dentist, or your dentist, if they'd donate their services and have you only pay for the materials? I wouldn't be surprised if one would do it. Does she belong to a church or any organizations? Maybe they would help. And isn't there a dental school at Stony Brook? It's a lot cheaper to get your dental work done at a school. And students might be willing to donate their services in a situation like this. It can't hurt to ask.
And I'm so sorry this happend. Your FMiL is much too young, and it's a horrible thing to happen to anyone at any age. We lost my husband's mother to cancer on Thanksgiving day, three weeks after we got engaged. I'm so happy she had time to know that we were engaged and that I'd be there to take care of my husband--my fiance at the time. She was also very young, was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer and died within six months. It was so terribly hard for the family. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

The other ladies are right, call as many Dentists as you can. One of them should be able to help out. You have nothing to lose in this. I know what your FH, You and FHs Family is going through. It's not easy to sit back and watch someone you love have to go through something like this and not be able to do anything about it. I know first hand what it's like, I took care of my Mom for 8 months while she was fighting cancer. One thing I'm glad about is that my Mother lived long enough to see FH & I get Engaged. My prayers are with your FMIL & Family.
What I'm about to suggest is NOT a joke, but many you should also try giving the Muary Show a call maybe they could help out somehow.
He's always helping people out in times of need.
If you every need to talk FM me anytime.

I am so sorry that you, FH and your families are going thru such a hard time right now! Your FMIL sounds like an angel! I agree with the other ladies to contact dentists. Like lawyers taking on pro bono [free] work, there has to be dentists out there that do the same!! I wish you all of the luck in the world to help FH's Mommy feel better!!!

Try http://www.hsc.stonybrook.edu/dental/carecenter/become_patient.cfm Stony Brook Dental for a dentist. It is run by Stony Brook University. They have student dentists with real dentists overseeing all their work. They work at a huge discount because it is a teaching dentist but they do great work and have the latest equipment. Check them out. And my prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear this. I can't imagine how she is feeling. My heart goes out to your FMIL and your entire family! I wish I could be more helpful, but is there anyway you all can make a deposit and see if there is a way of financing the teeth with a dentist?

Re: please help =- please
that's what we're trying to do.
Also, my fh worked for his uncle and his uncle never paid him.....he got into a huge argument with him (my fh has been asking him to pay him for 2 years) and then he just gave up and to make a long story short- his uncle thinks he is disrespectful (he so isn't) and he isn't talking to him......i suggested to fh to call his uncle and tell him he needs the money now its for his mother's care........we gave up we don't factor that money into our budget, so if he has a heart and finally pays us back, i am going to hand the money over to my fmil.
my fh and i are also going to not eat lunch anymore - we'll bring something from home or wait until dinner and save up the money and give it to her. peter (FH)'s brother in law and sister are going to do the same.
everyone i talk to thinks its a waste of money because she is dying anyway but i swear if you talked to her you would see right away that itsthe difference of her fighting it or just giving up and doing nothing......even though she is terminal, she can enjoy the time she has left and if i don't do w/e i can do in my power to help her, i know i will regret it later......money isn't as important as spending as much time w/her as we possibly can.
its all so sad- i never thought i would bury a mother in law at 22 years old....i thought i had so much time to worry about this.
------------ I really really appreciate every single word of support you girls have given me.

I'm a relatively new poster (more of a reader), I am so sorry for you and your fiancee. I can not begin to imagine. A friend of ours was killed earlier this year and it really made us step back and look at what our wedding was about. Anything we've saved on is going directly donations. Could you use your favor as a donation, spend it on your FMIL so that the pictures and day you have with her all the more meaningful. It will be important for the both of you. Also, tell your hair/makeup/florist/RH/photographer whats going on and ask if they have tips....your in our prayers.

I was also going to suggest this. My tenant doesn't have insurance and he used them and he was thrilled with the care he got and they worked with him as far as payment was concerned. I wish you all the best
