Please help - should I change my colors? (see pic)
Original post by bluegreen08
My favorite color is blue, and BM dresses are already ordered. We're tentatively going with coral callas (or possibly coral callas + clown roses) for BM flowers with white or fuschia mixed in for MOH.
We're an afternoon wedding in August, and I like bright cheerful summery colors.
I was thinking our colors would be blue, coral and white/ivory (most likely white or ivory linens, programs, etc but with color accents). However, I'm a little afraid it might be hard to find things in those colors or that people will think they dont look good together.
We were thinking about doing white centerpieces with touches of peach, and using the coral flower petals to line the aisle. However, I'm undecided about whether we should go for bright centerpieces instead.
Please give me honest advice. I can't change the BM dresses but I can change anything else at this point. What do you think?
Edit: if you dont like them, please suggest a replacement

Hey! Of course I have to weigh in since we have the same BM dress fabric! I think it looks great with the coral, but the white might not be the best--I got the same reaction from florists (thought that's what I wanted too!). My girls are going to have Fuschia and med pink peonies, which hopefully will look good. I think if you mix in some fuschia it will be great with the coral!
HTH! I know it's so hard with this fabric b/c it's so pretty but you sort of feel like, uh oh, how is this really going to be? is it ridiculous? hehe....and there are like NO pictures of this color around really!
Hey, I am another Bl Indigo Blue girl!!!! I was also very worried about this color, but I went to the bridal place theis past week to finalize the dress # and sash color - I was going back and forth with either sand or ivory sash. A girl that worked there suddenly somes from the back and brings me the dress that I picked (#308) in the color!! It was someone elses BM dress, but she let me hold both sashes up to pick a color. Let me tell you, I AM SOOOO HAPPY I picked that color. it was amazing!!! We have nothing to woprry about with that color and fabric. But, I think the coral will look very nice with it. I still have no idea what color I'm doing!!
OOh thats great that you got to see the dress in person! I ordered a yard of the fabric before ordering the BM dresses so I could get a better idea of the color in person. I do have a few pictures from a knot bride who wore 555 in indigo (my dress/color) as a BM. Did you go with sand or ivory?

Ivory, It looked great together. The sand was a little to dark. Those two colors (blue and ivory) look so classy together.

Bump... I think I'm going to keep the colors but probably do fuschia instead of white in the MOH bouquet.
Any ideas on ways to incorporate these colors in wedding stuff? Also, would you do mainly white centerpieces with peachy accents, or really bright centerpieces?

blue and coral go together but honestly, i'm not a fan of the white being mixed in but that's just me...
I agree with this. The images you posted are lovely together!

Great colors!!!!!!! Coral will look pretty with it - stay away from straight-up orange though - think Mets.
I wouldn't change anything!!!

I think blue and coral are perfect together.
For the record, I think they're circus roses, not clown roses.
