Please help with STDs!

I am getting ready to send out my STDs and need to know the 'right way' of addressing the envelopes. If you are inviting someone with a guest, do you include that on the STD or leave it to the invitation?
I kind of feel like I want that person to know they can bring someone- but am not sure if its appropriate to include 'and guest' on the STD.
What did you guys do?

No, it's not appropriate to include and guest on STD...it's not an invitation. Just lets them know that they will be invited down the line
