I would definitely go... if I had the slight feeling something wasn't right I went to the doctor. Though in the last few weeks, depending on how big the baby is, the movement does slow quite a bit. I had a couple of times towards the end that the baby didn't move for about 1-2 days. I was really scared, but they said that before you give birth the baby will rest A LOT to prepare for the big day. If it was me, I would go to the hospital just to ease the mind. I'm a worry wart too... that didn't help. Maybe she is going to have the baby soon, that's why it's so quiet?
I would go to the hospital right away just in case. Not to scare you, but my friend lost her baby in her 39th week. She also did not feel the baby and went to the doctor. They found the heartbeat. She still wasn't convinced went back to the doctor two days later with the same complaint and they said everything was fine. Then the next day she went to the ER and it was too late. THe baby's cord got wrapped around her neck. I am 26 weeks pregnant and this story scares me to death. I would go to the hospital just for peace of mind. THe baby may just be getting ready to makes his/her appearance and doesn't have much room to move around. Good luck to your friend, I'm sure everything is fine.

I didnt feel my bean very much this AM. Usually I can feel him/her squirming around every now and then. I took out my Babybeat and found the heartbeat right away. Talk about peace of mind!! If I were your friend I would go to the hospital and demand they check for a HB or even a sono to make sure all is well... although at 39 weeks a baby in a belly moving around is pretty hard but she should feel something!!
