This is not intended to offend or exclude anyone. But I am desperate. To all of the african american brides out there were are you getting your hair and make up done. I do not have a steady hair dresser and i donot know any thing about makeup. I prefer somewhere i can get both done at the same place instead of having someone come to my hotel. I will probably need some hair extensions to get the style that I want. Thanks

I am not african american but I had extensions done over a year ago in forest hills...The girl who did my extensions was african american and it was her own salon...Most of her clients are also african american and they also do make up there...Its a real cute little salon and located on austin street.

I'm not african american (I'm hispanic) and I have a lot of thick hair that only certain people know how to deal with.
I had my hair and makeup trial with Mia of BridalLounge (who is african american) and she did a GREAT job (see album for pics). She will come to you on the day of. Right now she is doing trials in a salon, so I'm sure you could contact her for a trial.
Just note that she is pregnant, due in about 2 weeks, and can be hard to get a hold of... but she will get back to you. GOOD LUCK!

Mia from www.br idallounge.com is African American. She is phenomenal and works with people of all different backrounds. She's amazing...u will not be dissapointed! Good Luck!
