Does anyone have any ideas or can you post pics of simple, fairly cheap CP’s I can use for an engagement party?

This is what we used for our engagement party.....it was a big hit (I would put more pebbles in the bottom and a few more petals on the table though)

I've also seen a diy cp (on one of the diy threads that i think was on the 08 board), it was a vase with what looks like gel in it, and 3 tea light candles floating on top, and hydrangeas around the base) It looked absolutely beautiful....I wish I had seen it before

my bridal shower CP were BEAUTIFUL and aside from cutting the limes I think everything else was bulk flowers and dollar store stuff...have a look...

i was gonna do fish for the wedding reception but then found something else. i love the fish idea, i just dont know what to do with them all afterwards if people dont want to take them home

limes...very unique. maybe i could do lemons too.. that might look pretty cool since our linens for this party are pale yellow and white

everyone took them home at our party.....we had to fight to keep ours, lol......and we didn't really have many kids there either

I think I am going to use this idea! It is so cute and with a red rose it will absolutely embody the color scheme i want!

the limes are an awesome idea, and if green in not your fav color you can use oranges or lemons

so after some discussion with some people i think im gonna try the fish idea. i saw a bunch of perfect size vases at ac moore on sale for $3 each and i think im gonna put some rocks on the bottom (the clearish ones). the picture at the store showed a plant type thing on top but i think i might do the rose like your pic. or maybe a floating candle? would that harm the fish at all?
