ok, so i'm starting to 2nd guess my choice of everyday dishes. it doesn't help that the pattern has been discontinued by the store that used to have the whole pattern ... and the other store only has the 5 piece placesettings.
i'd love to see what patterns you ladies picked ... and if you don't mind telling me what its called and where you registered for it too ...
ETA: here is a pic of the ones we registered for. we've already received 5 placesettings from our e-party ... but none of the other pieces, which now can only be bought from mikasa direclty:
There are so many dishes I loved that this one was hard for me. I didn't want to register for something that would be dicontinued in the near future and I really like stoneware so I decided it would either be a Pfaltzgraff or fiesta - I have alway sloved fieats and couldn't fine a Pfaltzgraff pattern that I liked as much.
These are the colors I am going to go with for the dishes (3 sets of each to make a service for 12) and then I'll add in some more colors with the accent pieces
Fiestaware!! It's old school and I love it! I got one of each color place setting. They are very durable, bright and inexpensive. I actually have 6 place settings already from when I moved into my first apartment, so I registered at Macy's for the rest. I think they are the only store that carries them!

Us too! I love it because it has been around foreever and will continue to be so if you break a plate, it's easy enough to buy a new one. NO crazy worry about tracking it down.
MAcys's carries them BUT so does LinensNThings AND their everyday price is cheaper than Macy's. MACYS is ONLY cheaper if they go on sale and you have coupons. Learned that the hard way :(
But we have them in red, two shades of orange and yellow. Love em.

They are lightweight and dishwasher safe and I love the design. They're cherry blossoms.
