these are mine. we're going to start using them before we have a house, but we already figured we'd be doing the kitchen in similar colors.

I got this one too but mine has round plates with the black on the outside going into the creamy color in the center of the plate. I think it's called Sango Black??
Where are they from? As you can see above, I just posted that I like the pattern on the square one but not 100% sure I like the square plates. Thanks!
And these are really random but we have one set of these from Costco and love them! they aren't our regular dishes but the shape is great for a lot of things (a low shallow bowl)
Thanks. I saw the nautica ones and liked them .. I just get a little worried about asking people to spend $35 on a setting. I know there are a LOT MORE EXPENSIVE ONES, but I just don't know ... that seems pricey esp if I want 8 or more! And the last one is nice too. But two and three are the same as the first ... ?

you might want to check out THESE as well. they come in tons of colors! we got a set of all white square dishes and got salad plates and bowls from this set in taupe and blue. We figured that would go with anything, and we usually eat on salad plates so it's nice to have extras. (we also have white salad plates from our set)
we figure we can always pick up accent plates in other colors to mix and match down the road if we want

No prob! I wanted all white so it would be versatile and classic, but then I fell in love with the colors too. I like that we can mix and match (I think blue and taupe are pretty versatile, and worst case we can always swap them out and use a different color. you don't have to buy a whole new set, and you can buy just the salad plates for $5-6 each so it wont break the bank).

thanks!!!! we got them at fortunoff, but they also have them at BBB and Macy's. i've seen them at both places, they're Noritake Java Swirl.

I know $35 isn't a ton .. but I am just so money conscious .. I would hate for people to think I picked something every expensive. I was going to do just 2 sets (2 16-pc sets) but maybe settings are better, gives people more options to buy (vs. 2 $100 sets, it would be 8 things on my registry instead of just 2).
I looooove that Audrey one! Don't know why I didn't see it before. Looks a little formal for me for everyday, so if I get a fancier set (not doing fine china) I may get that. But it's soooo cute.
I found these that I like, too. The first one is on clearance, so I guess it's not a good idea to register for that. I LOVE the last one but don't know if it would match anything so I can't register for it
