Please pray for FH...

FH just called me in the living room to tell me that his doctor wants to see him again Saturday because they found blood in his urine.
I'm a little nerves because FH mother and father died from cancer. Father colon and mother lung. The crazy thing about the mother and lung cancer is that she never smoked in her life.
I waited my whole life to find a good man like FH for him to be taken away from me now or ever.
Please keep my family in your prayers.

I am going to try my best not to...but I've known FH for almost 10 years and never remember him going to a doctor. The only reason why he went to the doctor this time was because I made the appointment and made him go. I truly hope it's nothing.

Don't worry, it will all be fine!

Blood in the urine can be nothing, some people just have it for no reason, and some have it their entire lives. Hoping for the best for your FH though!

I guess you are right. Maybe I'm over reacting. I just get nerves when I hear stuff like this. Thanks ladies.

I know that feeling! The only reason I say that is because I have it, and have had it for my whole life, and my doctor has told me how common it really is to have small amounts of blood. I freaked out the first time they told me that too, and it didn't turn out to be anything bad. Hopefully that helps calm your nerves a little bit!

hes in my prayers.. but from a nursing point of view... it could something as simple as a urinary tract infection or from a current medication that he may be taking.. try not to worry just yet.. i hope everything goes ok keep us posted

Yes that does.I feel a little better. I just because I every time you hear that someone has blood in their urine it's something bad. V=Never knew anyone that it was coomon having it. Thank you so much for sharing.

It's very easy for people to tell you not to worry, but if it was our FH's, we'd be in the same boat. So i'll just tell you that hematuria can be from a number of different things. Cancer is def. NOT the first thing that comes to my mind. And don't bother looking it up on line because you will find a million reasons why someone can have blood in their urine and chances are, it's nothing even 1/100 as drastic as whatever comes up in a search.

FH is in my thoughts and prayers. Try not to get all worked up. It could just be something small like a UTI and he would just need medication. Hope everything is ok!!!!
