Please pray for MOH's baby-------UPDATED with encouraging news

My MOH had a baby boy this morning. He is not able to breathe on his own and the doctors say he will need open heart surgery within 6 months. There are all different specialists looking at him. They say the prognosis is good.

PLEASE pray for this baby that he will be alright. I can't believe that this could even happen. I don't even know what to say to her!

UPDATE
I went tonight to see the baby. He is absolutely gorgeous! It was not nearly as bad as I expected.

MOH seems to feel a lot better than yesterday. The doctors say that his condition is 'nothing that can't be fixed.' He's going for one procedure tomarrow and we will know more then.
I went there and was as positive as I could be. I made a joke and even got MOH's husband to laugh!

my sister had open heart surgery when she was a baby - 38 years later she is all good

I hope he's okay.

I'll keep everyone updated. It's so frustrating bc I don't even know what to say to her. Everything I was saying just seemed all wrong. Then I just said that they are in my prayers and that I loved her.

You are being a good support and just being there helps.... My prayers & thoughts for your MOH & family...

His name is Nicholas, that is very good advice , to stay positive. I will try to remember that! Thank you so much for the kind thoughts and encouragement!

Definetely be positive and there to support your friend.

Honestly it's going to really hard and at times you may have to fight yourself to keep a smile on her face but it WILL work out.

We went through the same thing last year with my nephew. Fortunately they were prepared (as much as you can be) since they knew before he was born. They estimated surgery within 6 months but he needed it after 3 weeks.He was in and out of the hospital the first few months of his life but he is now a happy and HEALTHY 21 month old.

omgggg i cant imagine whats going through her mind she must be sooo upset..

as a friend try to be next to her and comfort her.. there is really nothing you can do..

omg that is so sad I hope her child gets better!
