the government will cover part of the cobra. also a pre-existing condition exists when there is a lapse in coverage. She can always look into social services to see if they qualify

The company I work for is cutting off all medical benefits for part time employees as of Jan 1st. My friend has been at the company for 10 years and was once the general manager of an 8 million dollar store. After her twins were born 6 years ago she stepped into a part time position so she could care for them and still have her benefits. During this time her husband got cancer. He suffers from leukemia and is remission but needs to take pills that cost $4000 per month if they didn't have insurance. We are begging and pleading with the leaders in our company to create a full time position so she can keep her benefits but haven't heard an answer yet. Even if she gets another job theres a chance they won't cover her husband because of his pre-existing illness. Please pray that we get some news![]()
