PLEASE READ: Can we all search before making repeated posts? It would make the boards a better research tool for us all.

I've been on LI weddings since July of 04 and I've noticed a definite change in recent months.

Last summer the 04 and 05 ladies would post ONE post about a topic. The posts were very useful because instead of opinions/research etc. on a certain topic being spread out over several posts the collective experience and A LOT of info was on one post.

Lately, I've been noticing identical posts for the exact same vendor, topic, etc. on THE SAME DAY. That makes us look lazy. We are not taking the time to search and or asking others to bump posts for us. One long post is better than 16 identical ones.

When researching a vendor, topic, etc. please try to do a search first... at least in the past week.

For example, today, alone, I saw at least two new posts about the exact same photographer. I booked that photographer but myself, and other brides, can't answer a new post asking the same question multiple times during the same day. Meanwhile, there is a 13 page thread on that photographer that dates back over a year. That thread has a lot of info on it. I bumped it. It took me no more than 5 minutes to search for it.

Can we all promise to search a bit first?

Sorry so long just trying to keep the board better organized and helpful to us all.

I don't know what it was like then, but I totally agree with you! I hate seeing people ask something that has been answered 8 zillion times.

UGH, it's 8:50 and I have yet to grade one paper... got to go.

That's really good, not just because it's annying to answer the sma epost 100 times, but also because it makes each post havea higher quality and contains the answers in one place.

Sometimes it's valuable to reask a question that ahsn't been asked in awhile because new brides may ahve new insights or people who booked the vendor may ahve gotten married, etc.

I DO AGREE ALOT WITH YOU, BUT SOMETIMES THE SERCH THING DOESN'T WORK SO WELL. BUT I DO AGREE WITH YOU. ALOT OF REPEATS.

great suggestion! I've also noticed that some new girls make a post and when no one responds makes an identical post on the same day!!

I was guilty with the having the introductions- sorry!

I agree that there has been a lot of photo questions lately, with sim vendors...

GOOD Idea and thanks for posting and I am sure we will all be more cautious...

OMG!!! THANK YOU!!! If I read another post about 'two thousand AND five or two thousand five' I WILL GO POSTAL!!!

I actually did that the other day...wondering LIW brides impression on Netbride.com, so I searched and found TONS of info!!!
It's so easy...I think not many know to do this...
