Re: PLEASE READ!!!! Horrific wedding day limo experience
I've heard some crazy limo stories....but this tops it! So sorry this happened to you!
I know it's long but please read so it doesn't happen to you!!! I am furious, disgusted, and unimaginably disappointed, for messing up the biggest day of my life, and they are a recommended vendor on this site. My wedding day was only 2 weeks ago (3/19/10) and I hope to save another future bride the heartache I had to deal with on my wedding day. This company was paid in full (my biggest mistake ever-DON'T EVER DO THIS) just weeks before my wedding when I booked a party bus for our coed bachelor party, and it was the most horrendous preview of what my wedding would be like. The wrong bus showed up, it was FILTHY- I mean so FILTHY, sticky, and disgusting that my mom was cleaning it in her PJ's before we (the bride and groom) showed up to the mess. All 20 of my guests were on the bus watching this- how humiliating!!!!! the driver was unfriendly and unprofessional and told my sister there was no manager to call, no one in the office to complain to at the time (sat night 9pm). We felt left with no choice but to take the bus as we had reservations in NYC an hour later. We soon found out on our hour long ride that the bathroom light was broken as was the toilet, and we had no ice, so we had to stop at a gas station for both. This among soooooo many other inappropriate things. I spent days on the phone with their general manager who did nothing but defend them and make excuses for all their errors including blaming us for bringing 'dirt' in on our feet. It was the most unprofessional pathetic experience I had as a bride. Needless to say they did not own up to their mistakes, refused to give ANY money back and forced me to move forward with my wedding package. I'm sure you future brides can understand the panic I was in, losing sleep over my wedding limos being a disaster!!! Well, the manager reviewed all contracts, promised he was overseeing event so it would be flawless, and 'threw in' a few minor things to attempt to make up for our horrendous experience with them already. Let me tell you the wedding day was TEN TIMES the disaster of the first!!!! Although I drove 45 min the afternoon before my wedding to make sure the wedding horn in my Rolls worked for my arrival to church with my dad, it was all a waste of time because my Rolls Royce sat stalled in front of my house. The driver, who was hired from another company, who was sent from their lot close to empty ran out of gas. He used my lighting asst to take him to get gas, but never got the car started. (We found out later it was because he never put the car in park when it stalled-WOW) So, now I'm running late to my own wedding mass, cannot take my Rolls after all, and had to walk down the block to climb into the SUV limo with bridal party. The other driver ASSUMED that b/c the Rolls was blocking my driveway that instead of pulling up by the decorated walkway along the house (or ask where to park), that he should park on the next corner and direct my people to walk across neighbor's lawn and get in-doesn't the bride leave from her house not the neighbors????? From there it got worse, if you can believe that's even possible. The driver was unfriendly and didn't help anyone out of SUV that my great aunt fell on the floor trying to get out. MY photographer even shot a photo of the BRIDE jumping from the step, and I look piiiiiissssst!!!! The story can just go on and on, you can't even make this up if you wanted to. When I came out of mass, I found my Rolls in front of church because the driver realized he had to put the car in park before starting it.... they had our royalty package setup there (the champagne and red carpet that they 'threw In' for previous disaster). So we get ready for our close up toast photo when I realize they gave us two completely different glasses (his said groom, mine was plain, his was a bubble mine was a flute). When I asked if he was kidding with the mismatched glasses, the driver said 'well the bride glass is broken'. I asked to see it and the base was sliced in half, so I held it in my hand to hide the slice missing because the pictures would've looked ridiculous and classless the way they gave them to me. My photographer was freaking out that I would slice my hand and get blood all over my dress!!!! AND there is so much more but I can only highlight the major things to give you an idea of how bad my experience was!!! I waited 10 yrs to marry my high school sweetheart and best friend, and these people managed to ruin the two most important events of my life- they were only a small piece of the whole wedding pie and were not competent enough to just do their job! After one disaster with a bride and groom you would think they would make sure our wedding day was PERFECT!!!!! I know it sounds hard to believe but I will soon have pictures together of this pathetic thing called wedding day limo service, and I will be glad to post them. (pictures of limo driver with red gas can filling tank in front of house, pics of my photo asst under hood of car, SUV parked a block away, AND BEST furious bride jumping from SUV-you'll probably have a good laugh. I can't even understand how they have any decent testimonials because I have since heard several similar horror stories about them.
I've heard some crazy limo stories....but this tops it! So sorry this happened to you!
Can someone please FM the company to me? I'm getting married in 5 weeks and panicking now. TIA
Wow really makes you think twice about booking vendors!! They are right by my house I was thinking of getting pricing from them but I'm glad I saw this... Geez, I'd love to hear some good limo experiences after reading this... I feel like it's one of the last vendors people book or don't spend as much time on but can probably cause the most damage on your wedding day.. So sorry to hear about your experience but thanks for sharing
Horrified, can I please know the name of this company? Tried posting earlier, but it didn't appear.
