Please share your 'Creative' proposals.

Ok, I'll start....We were planning a trip to Cabo San Lucas and FI told me while we were there that he wanted to film the sunset at the beach and have his friend speed up the tape so it would be a really fast sunset......

This was his explanation for making me go to the beach with a video camera.

Well, before that, we went to a bar for happy hour and I got called up to a tequila drinking contest...well, you can imagine that I was pretty plastered!!!

We started walking to the beach, but the sun had already begun to set, and by the time we got there it was dark!!! FI said it was still OK, and being in my condition, I agreed.

We got there and set up the camera, then he came around and popped the question, all on video!!!

I think it took a lot of preparation...just a little!!!

he proposed to me at belmont state park.

We were going to a party later on that day and had time before it(I kept wondering why we were leaving os early)

So he's like we still have time lets take a walk so we're walking through the park and we get to the lake and they have those peddle boats in the water you can do and hes like you want to go on one(theyre pretty theyre in shape of swans) and i'm like we're all dressed up we'll get wet and hes like but look and points and when i turned back around he was down on one knee and was talking i dont even know what he said because i started crying so hard. he said i was crying so hard he asked me three times before he finally heard a yes and my tears were falling in his nose.

He *yelled* at me in the jewlery store...that was my big romantic proposal
I think his exact words were..'Pick a F*&^% setting so I can propose to you already.'

FH took me to the Borgota in Alantic City.
He got a beaautiful suite. We gambled, ate dinner, saw a show...then went back to our room...and went to sleep. The next morning FH ordered room service. I sat down to what I thought was pancakes. When I lifted the silver tray there was plate with writting in chocolate syrup...it said 'will you marry me?'
I started to tear up...looked to my right and ken was on bended knee holding my ring.

well my FH told me we were going ring shopping one day after work. But around lunch time a strange woman came into my office and would NOT speak, she just set up and CD player, handed me a card and a silver bell to ring.

Basically the card said all sorts of lovey things, and when I finished reading I was supposed to ring the bell. SO I did, and in came my FH with a santa hat(this happened right before xmas) and BAGS of stuff, candles, lotions, etc... also 2 dozen roses, an expensive bottle of champagne($300 a bottle) that we had been saving, and a photo album that had pictures of us together over our dating years, with some left empty for our future.

Then in came my dog copper (whom I love more than anything) with a cape, reindeer antlers, and a black velvet pouch around his neck. And through lots of tears, and happiness I said 'YES' and the rest is history.

Everyone at work was in on it, I had 'NO CLUE' he wanted to pick a more romantic spot, but wanted to surprise me more,...and boy did he

my FH put an enormous amount of planning and time into the proposal!!

i don't want to go into all the details, but he remembered what i'd said about a friend getting engaged only 3 months into us dating and how that was the dream of everyone at my college for it to happen that way.

he booked a hotel, took me on a surprise vacation, called my friends in VA to make sure they'd be there (without my knowledge he took the numbers out of my cell phone!!), rented a limo, made fancy dinner reservations, and on and on...it was SO PERFECT!!

the rest of the details are just for me!

Passover 2005 -- My niece Jennifer was not too crazy about the whole Four Questions thing so I told her I would do them with her. We finished reading in Hebrew, and then read the questions in English. After the fourth question. Edward says 'I have a fifth question....Will you marry me?' My brother was face deep in the haggadah and had no clue as he kept reading. There were screams and tears all over. The rest of the seder was a blur and after the matzah ball soup, I promptly threw up.

FH surprised me with a brunch cruise around Manhattan 'just because'. We were on the top deck watching the scenery when he handed me a letter that I wrote him on our 9-mo anniversary, nearly 6 years ago!! The letter basically said that although we are not perfect, I believe that we are perfect for each other. The he began to read me a letter of his own which ended:

So let me whisper in your ear
The four words you have been waiting to hear
Will You Marry Me??

We were in front of the Statue of Liberty...it was perfect!

FH bought me heart shaped earrings for Valentine's day - later to be revealed as the decoy gift.

he shocked me by proposing 1/2 an hour later.

Fh was turning 30 so his parents asked me to help plan a surprise 30th party for him. I found the place to have the party at (Merlot) I sent out all the invitations, I helped pick out the meu with his parents and I also bout scratch off 'win for life' lotto tix's for a favor.
I told FH it was my cousins surprise 21st party to get him there. We get there and all of his friends and family were there including my family as well (our families are close). He acts all surprised and I was so happy thast he really was surprised casue I am the worst at keeping secrets. Half way through the party he gets on the dj's microphone and starts thanking his parents for this wonderful party thanks his sister and all the guests and then thanked me. While he was thanking me, he told me that he had a secret for me. He said that he knew about this party all along. Me still not knowing thinks that I somehow slipped and was shushing him, casue I didnt want to be blamed for him knowing.

WELL,,he then says that him and his parents have been working together all along to surprise me!! He toldme that he loved me,,and that he will love me the rest of his life if I love him for the rest of my life..and then got down on his knee and proposed!!!!

Not one person knew about this besides his parents and mine...Everyoe went wild!! Sooooooo I basically planned my own surprise proposal party!!!!!

MY FH proposed on perfect proposal! IT was the episode with the cooking show and the fire department!
What a surprise that was! A truely memorable experience and we have the video to show our kids!

Last June we went to visit my family in Tampa, Florida..we did a side trip to Sanibel Island (it is so beautiful there) it is off in the gulf next to Fort Myers. On our second day there we were walking along the beach watching the sunset and he popped the ring out of his shirt pocket and asked if I would be his wife and marry him...


Sanibel Island, FL is our little special place.
