Please support my decision to blow the whole wad....

OK.... I'm doing it.... I'm spending 2500 on a wedding gown. I love this dress - it's gorgeous. I have been obsessing about this gown for over a week.
The ONLY reason I didn't order it on the spot is because of the price. I never thought I'd ever spend that much on a gown (and actually scoffed at women that would - to them I apologize, I now understand).
My rationale is that I DID give up my first choice places to have our reception (DiSeversky and Crescent Beach Club) for one that gave us a lower price(with many wonderful options thrown in).
Besides wanting to add posts to my history so that I too can change my avatar heading, I just need someone to put their arms around me and tell me..... 'you are not a brat for buying a designer dress. You are still a good person even though you are spending so much money on a dress that you will wear for only one day.'

If it's what you want and you have the $ get the dress. If you are afraid you will regret it look around a bit more. Even if just to put yourself at ease that there is no other dress out there that comes close to this one.

Definitely go for it! $2500 isn't really that high a price t pay for a dress and if it's THE dress, go for it, I'm sure you saved YOU much more than that with your reception hall. you only have ONE wedding dress and you have to LOVE it!!!

Go for it! My dress was $2500 and I don't regret it at all. I knew it was the one and I was willing to spend the money on it if my mom said no. Once she saw me in it, she told me I needed it

Definitely NOT a brat...........I am the furthest from being a brat and I have decided to spend $2900 on my dress. It's absoultely KILLING me, BUT, after searching for 3 weeks straight and trying on $500 dresses and $4000 dresses----I can't seem to find the same feeling as 'The One.'

I CANNOT believe I am spending this money for ONE DAY in my life.......BUT, I think it'll be SO worth it when the day comes and everyone else sees how I feel in the dress.

I say---BUY IT....have no regrets....and enjoy feeling your absolute best for the day!!!

You have to do what's going to make you happy. It may be a dress you wear for one day, but it's one of the most important days of your life. You deserve to feel your most beautiful and it seems like this dress is going to do it. Go for it! You can cut corners on other things to help you rationalize.

Kelly, you are so rational. Can you please rationalize all the purchases I make on clothes and shoes for me? How was your weekend?

I am spending $1000 more on my dress than my so called 'budget' allows. I don't care...I LOVE IT! I look at the pic I took all the time and just think how much I love the dress. You are going to be in it for hours...Everyone is looking at you all day. You have to feel so good in what you're in. You're not a snob at all. GO FOR IT!!!

i agree with the rest... you'll regret it if you don't..

i haven't gotten to that part but i already know that i am not going to let cost (except if it's like a million dollars) stop me... if i can fiscally do it, then I am going to do it!
