I am in NYC right now at work - and from my building I can see the flames and smoke billowing from the World Trade Center. I can only pray these attacks stop!! Please take a moment out of your wedding planning to pray and think of those that may be affected by this sickening disaster!!
Doesn't this whole board seem all of a sudden trivial and insignificant with so many hurt or killed. I only just heard from my fiance. My prayers have been answered....
Yes, it does seem so minor for us. I am praying for everyone. We have some friends there too and havent heard from them, but I am sure they are ok. (one is our best man!). I will be saying prayers all day.
I am in NYC too, my company is letting us leave, however, it won`t do me any good since I live on LI and all mass transit is shut down. I will say a prayer for all victims and their families. This is so horrible.
It is a sad sad day for everyone. I am praying very hard.
Everything else in life seems so trivial once something like this happens. You want to savor every moment you have on this planet.
This is a horrible day, no doubt. My thoughts and sympathies are with everyone effected by this devastating act.
It was very hard for me to leave my fiance and come in to work knowing all of this terror that was going on. When I left him, both buildings had collapsed, the Pentagon had been hit, and the reports were breaking of just how many planes had been hijacked. In my opinion, people should be allowed to be home with their families through this difficult time.
Like so many others, we also know people who work in the WTC and the close vacinity. We are trying to stay hopeful. Our thoughts today will not be on our work, but on the horror that has occurred.
I am thanking God that I have heard from all my loved ones and friends that work in NYC. Everyone is ok. But I am praying hard for the other families of people that were lost in this tragedy.

My prayers are with everyone. I work in Manhattan and my family lives there...thankfully they are all ok...my brother works around the corner from the WTC and saw the towers leveled.
I know so many people that work down they...My prayers are with everyone!!!!

We are right across the river in NJ, and from my office we saw everything, even the second plane hitting the tower. We were sick to our stomach with tears in our eyes.
My prayers are with everyone. I will surely go home tonight, and give an extra hug to everyone
My fiance's aunt, who lives in Battery Park City, died this morning - she had a heart attack in her chair while watching the news. She must have seen the smoke and heard the sirens, she lives so close. My fiance just got down to their apartment (we live in Chelsea) - he walked - through the soot and smoke, to be with his uncle, who's now alone and can't get a funeral home to come to his building to pick up his wife's body.
We were to have dinner tonight with them on the Upper West Side. She was a wonderful, loving woman. I don't even know what to do - I feel such sadness.

I am still in the city (midtown)it's about 3:15 and very erie right now. I have heard sirens all day but right now its silent.
So far as I know my family and friends are safe I Thank God for that.
Kathi, my heart and my prayers are with your family. My fiances friends wife works in the WTC, they have two small childen we do not know if she is alive or not. Indeed we will all know someone who was lost due to this cowerdly tradegy. Just keep praying, we are all with you

Just to think of all the people that were in the buildings, on the subways underneath the WTC, outside - nearby, the brave NYPD and NYFD....
This is a tragedy...
