Right now, my menu has an awesome and very full cocktail hour, but the dinner menu is just (1) Salad (2) Entree (3) Desert.
I'm trying to decide if I should add a pasta course (we're both italian so lots of our guests will like it).
Anyway, it would take away 45 minutes of dance time to add the course. To compensate, we're considering adding an hour to the wedding. It would go from 6 to 12 instead of 6-11 if we extend it.
What would you do?

Actually, after hearing this, I have to agree. I went to a wedding not long ago where they did the pasta course and people (including me) were still on the dance floor. If people really want it, they will sit down for it.

I would forget the pasta. People want to dance and have fun! Plus, most people are so stuffed after the CH they can't eat anything.

I wouldn't add pasta. But you could always enhance the dessert without adding an extra course if you think the food is too light: ex- having chocolate covered strawberries served with the cake. That wouldn't take away from the dancing either.

I wouldn't add pasta...I also come from a big Italian family and am eliminating the pasta course...too much food from the CH...barely half the people will touch it...jmo..
