FMIL is fighting me on my flower budget (she says its a waste). She wants me to cut back on my chuppah flowers, so we can get custom linens. She INSISTS it is only a few hundred dollars for linens.
To any brides that rented linens-is she right? We would need 18-22 tablecloths and napkins for 230 guests.

I honestly dont know much all that is supposed to cost but that is exactly what I do not tell my parents or FIL or anyone else for that matter, how much we are spending on anything!

tell her to leave the flower alone. If you want custom linens then send her if she is willing to pay somewhere. I wanted linens in a certain colors that the rh didnt have chocolate brown and tiffany blue I went to efavormart.com to purchase. but do what you want not everyone wants custom linens. so yes you are right stay with the flowers

i agree flowers are so much more noticable than linens!!! i was looking into regular satinwhite overlays and cheapest i found was through a brooklyn vendor for 8$ a piece. if you want to go custom and fancy its gonna run you a lot!!!!!!!

Flowers are more important than linens IMO. Tell her to pay for it if she really thinks you guys need custom linens.

I am sorry you have to deal with this. I personally love the look of personalized linens and we are not really having much flowers, moreso branches.
I did find some sites that you can buy the table clothes and napkins and then just resell them. They came out ridiculously less that renting.
I know that NRC mentioned they will do everything with them and set up whatnot, just have someone pick them up the day or two after.
