So a friend of mine, who is not engaged, has two friends (other than me) who got engaged recently. So she's been talking to me about it and sending me pics of both the rings and saying how gorgeous they are and soooo big and whatever. So now I am feeling like my ring doesn't meet her standards. She was like, 'I am telling my boyfriend that he better get me a ring like hers!' Both these rings are like 3 carats +. My ring is certainly NOT small by any means, but its not 3 carats, its 2.
Am I acting stupid?? I LOVE my ring and wouldn't trade it in for anything in the world. Maybe I am just feeling jealous cause all the attention isnt on me anymore...I don't know.

I know that I shouldn't get worked up over this friend, especially since she isn't even engaged, so what does she know??? I think she is just very materialistic and I lost sight of it all for a second. I couldn't be happier with everything that I have, and I am very grateful.
haha, you know, I don't know if I ever did tell you girls my 'cute' ring story, it might've been one of the other girls with a similar story! ( i guess it happens to others!).. not to sound full of myself lol but she totally was jealous that i had a ring...she's one of those girls who's dying to get married even though she doesn't have a boyfriend.
oh and btw i love the diamond setting you have on your ring. i'm totally getting a diamond wedding band, cause i love that look!

my goodness, my ring is soo small compared to soo many of you girls, but i love it. when i look at it, its perfect because its me, very simple. At the time he gave me the ring, he wasnt making the very best amount of money, but his intentions were to propose, and thats what he did, and that is what matters to me the most.

Your ring looks a lot like mine!!! who cares what she thinks ... maybe theyre 3 karat ring is an H color when your 2 karat is an E color?? or there's has more inclusions than yours so that makes your diamond better ! lol I told FH I would rather an E color 2 karat diamond with less incusions rather than an I color 3 karat!

Exactly what I was gonna say! I hate when people are like oh its only a carat! Im like yea but the color is an E and crystal clear.

honestly who cares. i dont let this stuff bother me.
I think back when iw as WAITING to get engaged. I used to tellFH all the time it better be 1 carat for every year we were together (we are now together over 8yrs ) haha. I always used to say i wanted at least 1.75. But really what the heck did i know? I didnt really KNOW how much these things cost (though i knew they werent cheap) I am very happy with what I have. She is just talking. let her talk!
