Christine, I am with you! I dont think I will ever add up the 'grand' total EVER again. I actually hid the column in the spreadsheet so that it does not show. I am too fragile, I cannot stand to see all those zeros staring back at me

I haven't looked at my budget since I wrote it. We just pay and pay and keep paying and don't look back

See I never added mine up b/c I know I would of flipped out. You will be so happy that day though money will not really matter. And money does not make you happy anyway its the things money can get you like a beautiful wedding that do. What I always say when people say you can get a house is that I got married when I was 25 I got a bunch of years left to get a house.

Ah dont sweat it. I can totally relate. Honestly I think most men view is as our day. But, when he finally sees you and the all the planning fall into place. Hell change his mind. As for the money issue, keep your budget and go to bed. Dont stress

Re: Please tell me this is all worth it :)

I had the same concerns, although secretly I always thought it was going to be worth it, but my fiance was complaining about the money. Although we pretty much agreed on everything (vendors, etc.), I had to convince him every step of the way about the true cost of things involved in the wedding. And now that we've been married for a while now, he's forgotten about all of his complaining, and is constantly referring to how great, elegant, and special our wedding was, and how it was so much better than anyone else's!!! So, even he realizes it was worth it! Don't worry!

Re: Please tell me this is all worth it :)

Everytime I see that I could spend this on a downpayment for a house I say..it's so not worth it. Then I go try on my wedding gown at the store and say...but when the HELL am I ever going to get to do this again! And it goes away very fast.

This is very worth it.
