Please tell me what you think of this necklace!

I found this necklace online at Turq Bridal as a potential gift for my bridesmaids. Love the necklace but I also really want to get them nice monogramed robes and slippers. My budget though won't allow for all of it.

After looking at the picture for awhile, I wondered if I could try to make these on my own. I made a sample last night. What do you think? Does it look okay? Cheap?

I don't like the blue beads you used in your necklace...I like the crystal looking ones

The color for both dresses is pretty close to the blue bead. The colors for the wedding are blue, brown and ivory.

Would it be better if I shortened the length?

ahhhh. yes i see..it does match the dresses.
Then i would say keep it as is!

I think it should be shorter (tighter on the neck) and the ribbon seems dark in the pic.

But nice job!!!

I think it looks good...I would just make the necklace a little shorter so it lays closer to your neck...

Wow! You did an amazing job. The only thing that I would change would be to make the necklace shorter and maybe use a different bead, something a little more see through.

I agree. You did an amazing job. I think the ribbon should be lighter green to match the MOH dress and make it a bit smaller.

Well done! I think you could enhance the necklace even more if you found blue see-through beads like the ones used in the sample and shorten it just a bit.

I would shorten it a bit, as suggested, and I would ligten the color of the brown - i think the necklace will stand out too much if it is that dark - maybe a creamier brown? JMO.

Otherwise, I think you did an awesome job and i would love to get that as a gift.

okay honestly, I dont like it. Maybe something a little more sparkly? Just my opinion. The clolors do match though.

I got the beads at a shop on 6th Ave bet 38th and 39th St. There is a ribbon shop a block down called M & J Trimmings between 37th & 38th Sts.

They also have a bunch of different kinds of clasps that you can use to close it off. The one I got clamps onto the ribbon.

They were really helpful at the store and gave me a lot of ideas.
