please vote- lands end or carlyle?

i love the carlyle, FH loves lands end. can we hear any suggestions in favor or against either place.

I don't know much about either but I looked at Land's End's website & wow! Also I saw ladies pics from LAnd's End-gorgeous!
Edited to add pics and to say I would have booked Land's End but I didn't know about the place until after I booked my place.

I love this! Imagine the pics you could have!

The Carlyle all the way!!! I am a bridesmaid in a Carlyle wedding in October and am so psyched! My friend could have had her wedding anywhere- some heavy pockets- and fell soooo in love with Carlyle! It is so beautiful and such a first class event.... It was recently done over so it has high ceilings and is very light and modern inside- which I personally love and I have heard such amazing things about it! The staff is also supposed to be lovely there!

I have never been to lands end but I did go to a wedding last year at caryle and it was absolutly gorgeous!
From jens pics though.. I dont think you can go wrong with either

Iv'e heard real good things about both and i just went to a wedding 2 weeks ago at Lands End and i must say the food was beyond phenominal !!!!!!! I heard it was good but i was really blown away. I think Carlyle is gorgeous i was just very impressed with Lans End, i really enjoyed how the cocktail hour flowed from room to room, it was a real ' Cozy ' feel and really enjoyed it

I vote for Lands End. My sister got married there and it was fabulous. I don't like how at the Carlyle the golf course is right there. The food was great at Lands End. I highly reccomend it!!!

Land's End is pretty and the food is good but I love the carlyle! That gets my vote definitly! It's a lot more elegant JMO!

I WENT TO A FRIENDS WEDDING AT LANDS END BACK IN 1990 IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL!

I vote for the Carlyle too! That is where my wedding will be. I feel that it is very classy, and elegant. I get queezy when I see too much accoustical tile on the ceiling. That's just me. Lands end was very nice though. I heard the food there is excellent, and the view is awesome.

Lands End - biased cause we had our wedding there and I loved loved loved every minute of it.

Being on the water was very important to us...

I am getting married but I am also in the wedding business. I have been to most places on the island and definitly recommend the carlyle. Although I have not had the food at carlyle, the place is beautiful. The food at lands end is the same catererat Flowerfields which is were I will be getting married.the food is great

I am a biased Land's End bride as well...everything is perfect...and they take such good care of you...

I could only imagine that the carlyle does the same...I went to a wedding there and it was fantastic...we looked at it for our own wedding, but we also wanted the water...I think it is something that just has to click inside you...

Wow, what great choices you have! I've never been to the Lands End, but have heard only wonderful things.

My wedding was at the Carlyle, and everything was perfect.

Looks like you can't choose wrong. But if you are looking for arguments to pursuade your hubby on the Carlyle, I'd try this one... the major advantage of the Land's End is the water. However, if its a yucky day, you will lost that. Does he like the idea of Land's End even if it is raining?

As I mentioned, I have never been to Land's End, so I am basing this argument on my comparison to the Crescent Club. We feel in love with the indoor ceremony room at the Carlyle, and that took a great deal of pressure off as the day approached. If we were planning an outside wedding I would have been sweating the weather until the ceremony started!

My vote is the Carlyle too- but that's where I'm getting married.... IMO the ballroom blows the Land's End ballroom away... but then again, I have a thing with catering carpet.. hate those florals.. and the Carlyle has beautiful wood floors.
