Please...Reviews of the Riverview Restaurant

Can anyone tell me their opinion of the Riverview in Oakdale? I'm having a small daytime wedding next August and I'm planning on doing a brunch. They gave me an awesome price, said I could have a private room and they don't charge site fee for having ceremony there. Is their food good? Any smells from the bay? Any reviews from people that might have had a small wedding there would be great or at least someone who's had their brunch.

I won a $150 gift certificate from LIWeddings for the riverview restaurant. We used it for valentine's day and the food was PHENOMINAL to say the least!!!! It was truly a meal we'll never forget.

I go there with my family for holidays and my parents go there every week for happy hour. The views, food and service or AWESOME! I love that place!

ETA- The only problem you may have with smell is if it's low tide. You can probably google that to find out the tide schedule for next August. Even if it is low tide you usually dont' notice the smell unless it is exceptionally low.

I love the Riverview, the food is great. I've been to several functions there and would definitely recommend them-but I'm biased, I worked for the Lessing's for years on break from school. All their facilities are great. I was close to booking the Riverview for our wedding but I really wanted an evening event. You can't beat the price for a wedding there though-very tempting.
