PLUS ONE.....................

are you allowing guests to invite 1 guest? my cousin who recently got divorced in 2008 starting dating again... now she is asking me 'Can I invite my honey?'...... I dont know she was dating until now... they have been dating for 2 years..

Anyhoo, I personally want to say 'As of right now, I dont want to make any promises to anyone b/c the family list alone on both sides is driving me to drink. ' but I dont think thats nice over email..

What is a more appropriate response? Are you allowing plus one + for all your guests?

we are only allowing +1 for people who are in serious relationships. People have asked me 'can i bring a date?' and I know they are not seriously dating, so i just tell them no. But I'm a biatch like that

Yes, we are inviting everyone with a plus one. I personally find it rude to not allow an adult in a relationship to bring a guest. But then again, I feel this way because it happened to my FH and I before when we first started dating (a few months in) and we were EXTREMELY upset about it.

personally, we are inviting all our single guests with a plus one (with the exception of a few family members who we already know are not going to bring anyone else regardless).

If this is a first cousin that you are kinda close with and she's been dating the guy for 2 years, I think it would be nice to give her a plus one. BUT, if it's going to get you in trouble that you'll have to start adding guests to other people as well, than I wouldn't do it. You have to really look at your guest list and see what you can do before you make any decisions.

how do you show that people are invited with a guest on the invite? is it on the response card? envelope?

Usually it is written on the inner envelope. Like 'Ms. Jane Smith and Guest'

Odds are that if they aren't dating someone they will not bring anyone anyway.

i only gave certain guest plus one

i have a lot of single friends, but we are all mutual friends so they don't need dates, they know people and wont feel uncomfortable

i gave several ...less close...friends plus ones
and 'older' single co-workers plus one

no family got plus ones, cause they are family and need to suck it up LOL

I think it's up to your discretion.

I think if they are in a serious relationship they should get to bring that person.

we are inviting everyone with a plus one...the thought crossed my mind to only do that for serious relationships but it gave me a headache to even think about keeping track of that.
