Plus one?

Hi Brides- what is your 'plus one' policy? Serious relationships? Age limit? Or one for everyone?

HELP!

I don't want to give plus ones I think it's old school but haven't a bit of a debate with people

Plus one?

The only people getting a plus one that aren't either married or engaged or in a serious relationship are our maid of honor and best man.

I'm giving it to everyone. If I was invited to a wedding (even if I was single), I'd be highly insulted if I wasn't given a guest.

We're doing serious relationships only. Some people are going to be a little miffed, but whatever. They'll understand when it's their turn to pay for a wedding! Lol.

Plus one?

Everyone is getting a plus one. I think that as an adult every person should have the option to bring a guest. We want everyone to relax and have a great time.

We are doing it for pretty much everyone, except some of our cousins who are like 18 and have a new significant other every other week, lol. For the most part all of our friends are either married or in serious relationships so its been easy for us.

We are only giving plus ones to our bridal party and those engaged. Sorry I can't give a plus one to everyone! I'm on a budget here!

Yea. I don't think I can do it for everyone honestly. It increases my guest list like CRAZY. All the weddings i've been invited to in the past 2-3 years my single friends are there single, no guests.

our policy is you must be dating at least 1 year, unless you are in the bridal party... a few of my younger cousins who are like 16-17 have been dating people for awhile but they aren't invited with guests, they are too young

Everyone is offered a plus one. Even with that liberal date policy, our guest list only comes to about 150.....and that's if everyone rsvps yes. If we had larger families....or a larger list of mandatory invites, we probably wouldn't be so generous

Plus one? - Long Island Weddings

We kind of gaged it on a case by case. Like if the person is single but wouldn't really know anyone else, they got a plus one. If the person is single, but knows a ton of our friends and family - no plus one. I know personally, if I was invited to a wedding, and didn't know anyone besides the married couple, I would want someone to come with me.

Something like this.

If we gave a plus one to everyone we'd have a guest list of about 400 people. We're already at almost 300.

This as well! Definitely depends on whether or not they know others. None of my coworkers are getting a plus one, but there's an entire table of them so they can hang out together. If I was only inviting one coworker then id give them a plus one.

same here. with like bridal party exceptions and 1 girl who already lives with her bf even though it's like 5 months.

people were def not happy but whatever. it's $$$$ to allow people to bring all these random people.

Plus one? - Long Island Weddings

We were going to do everyone with a plus one, but it nearly doubled our guest list. So our rule is married or engaged, and if you are dating we have to have at least met the person. FH has almost 30 cousins, many of which we see once every 2 years and have never met their person. But we really aren't inviting many people who aren't family, so I don't exactly feel guilty bc its not like they will be alone for the night.
