Hey ladies!!! My mom has been searching for her MOB gown and is having a hard time because she is a heavy set. She wants to go places that carry plus size samples that she can actually try on before ordering. Do any of you have plus size moms? If so where have they or are they getting their gowns? TIA

My FMIL actually found a dress she really likes at SugarPlum in Lynbrook. They have plenty of plus size samples to try. i think she tried on like 6 dresses I dont know for sure because she never brought me there to see the dresses even though she may be ordering one of them....

Around what size do you know? My mom is a size 18/20. She was able to get into a bunch of samples at bridal reflections in Carle Place and then they pinned the back together enough to get the idea.
Lillettes in bell more took us to the back room to look at dresses they had and I saw the sizes they ranged and they had 22,24 and maybe even higher. I would try lillettes so she doesn't get discouraged and maybe she can find one there or at least get a feel to what she is looking for!

my mom went to diane and co from jersey couture
shes a 22...they didnt have that big of sizes there but they ar ewilling to help and no ny tax

Totally You in Bellmore!!! Tons of dresses in every size. My mom got hers there no problem and we didn't even try on 1/3 of what they had.
