I got your e-mail but didn't have time to respond yet - life is really crazy these days. Labor was really easy, six hours from start to finish. The first month with the baby was complete hell - if she was up, she was crying. I spent way too many nights driving around at 3:00 in the morning trying to get her back to sleep. She did great her second month and was much calmer. Thank god because I really couldn't take the fits anymore. She recognizes me now and smiles at me, which definately makes it worth it. Thanks for asking and now that things have calmed down - I'll be back on the boards. The wedding is one month away and I still have so much to do!!!

Boy o' boy do I remember those nights!! I'd be up till 5:30 trying to rock him to sleep!! I'm glad to hear that everything is better. What did you name her? And I'm sure you noticed there is also a Parenting board on this site. The other Mommies are great!

We ended up naming her Megan, but it was almost Victoria. We still hadn't decided after she was born. After everything was finished that first night, my hubby went out to celebrate (why do they always do this??). All of our friends were asking what her name was and instead of saying that we hadn't decided yet, he went with Victoria. He called me the next morning and told me this. I was so overwhelmed with everything else that I said okay without even thinking about it. But I kept looking at her and she was just so little and it seemed like such a big name for her so when the birth certificate lady came on the morning we were leaving, I just couldn't do it and we changed it to Megan. So anyway, I have a bunch of cards from that first day in the hospital made out to Victoria. Oh well - she'll probably hate me one day for changing it on her. Here's my favorite picture of her...

She is precious!! And she looks like a Megan! She might thank-you that she wasn't named Victoria. I was supposed to be Johnna & my oldest sister was going to be Matilda!! (Though Victoria is a beautiful name) Whenever you want to show pictures I'm here to look!! I love showing off Patrick as well!!

Sorry to intrude but did either one of you get pregnant right after you got married? My FI and I want to start a family right away. Your children are so cute. PMB, you are right she does look like a Megan--what a nice name.

Tracy - he is adorable - we may just have to hook them up when they get older :-)

balilove - we actually got engaged and then two months later, I found out I was pg. We definately weren't planning it and I was really freaked out for a long time but in the end, it was worth it. We ended up having a quickie wedding with just our immediate family and we are renewing our vows and having a 'wedding' next month. There are times when I miss having no responsibilities but I wouldn't change a thing. It is soooo worth it!!!!!

My son was a whopper of a suprise!! We were not engaged yet. Our son was 5 months when we got engaged. (he was the first one I told )
