I'm guessing its where to spend more money.

Everyone can appreciate food, not everyone can appreicate decoration.

The decor of a place is long forgotten by guests---the food is always remembered.

I've never said 'well that wedding was amazing cause the RH was sooooooo pretty'

i have said 'omg that wedding was so great cause the food was DELICIOUS!'

true, if i were to go to an amazing looking RH but the food wasnt good then that is what i would remember.

I dont think either matter, just as long as your guests have fun and remember your wedding thats important. I have been to hundreds of weddings and I dont remember the food or the decor. maybe you should base your RH decision on other factors. Good luck!!

I agree.

However, I will say that with the thousands of weddings halls on long island alone, why would you settle for one or the other? There are a TON of gorgeous halls out there with amazing food - if you're 'settling' for one, you should continue looking.

I can honestly say most weddings I've been to, I have no idea what the hall or the flowers looked like, but the food and music ALWAYS stick in my head. Those two factors can completely make or break the wedding experience for me.
