POLL: better menu choices?

what sounds like a better menu choice for a private party (NOT a wedding)?

what would you choose for yourself?

the first one will start with salad, but has pasta as a side dish

the second starts with pasta, and there is a veggie as a side dish

(so thats pretty much the same)

so it comes down to menu selections....

HELP PLEASE!

also, if you have any reasoning for one menu vs. the other, i'd love to hear your thoughts.

ive been thinking about this too much. going nuts.. lol

I'm loving the first option!

I'd prob have the eggplant and DH would order the marsala.

i gotta say, im surprised at the response.

isnt sausage and peppers a bit 'unusual' to see on a party menu?

for the second choices, what if i switched a fish for a pasta? would that make you sway to the second?

It is, but I still feel like people are more likely to eat that than veal. That's why I say safer. And I like that the first set has a vegetarian option.

I chose the second one because it has a fish option...

I would swap one of the fish dishes for eggplant and the second choice would be AWESOME!

not booked yet but its between two restaurants now. i need to figure out who can work best w my meager budget. ill let you know more once its booked :)
