Re: Poll: Brides on your wedding day....

We ate, both at the cocktail hour and at main coarse. We tried to make sure of it, figured we were paying so much for the wedding it would really s**k if we did not get to eat. We went to his cousins wedding last year and they did not eat at the wedding. Afterwards when we were all hanging out at the bar in the hotel, they left to go to the diner. They still talk about what a big regret that was.

Re: Poll: Brides on your wedding day....

I hardly ate at all at my wedding. I was too excited to eat much besides a few bites. They wrapped up our dinners and gave them to us at the end of the night. We had them for dinner the next night before leaving on our honeymoon.

I could have eaten but I was not in the mood to eat with all the excitement.

Re: Poll: Brides on your wedding day....

I woke up early to have bagels and coffee with mom and dad. Thank goodness I did that-it was the last chance I had to eat until the cocktail hour (7PM).

Honestly, I was too excited to eat more than a bite here and there. We had much more important things to do than sit and eat...dance, chat, dance more!! Our catering hall wrapped up our dinners and sent us home with tons of cookies and pasteries.

I second what Teri said. If you are going to drink, make sure you eat!! It's amazing how quickly that champagne will go to you head!!!

Re: Poll: Brides on your wedding day....

I definately ate. For some reason I missed all the hot food but I definately had my share of the seafood boat and a few of the passed items. Our bridal attendant made up trays for us to sample while we were taking pictures. Once we walked into the cocktail hour we just started chatting with everyone and didnt eat anything else. We both ate our full dinner and had some desert.

In hindsight we should have asked the BA to wrap up two dinners for us (we had a few last minute cancelations) for the next day. The food was so yummy.
