Would you...
1. Do all tall white calla lillies (7, with bear grass and willow) with votives for around $60 (buy vases on own)

Drawback: annoyance of buying the vases yourself and the fact that I wanted tall tapers to bring 'candlelight up high'

2. Do all low centerpieces with a 'punch' of color in 1 1//2 dozen roses and greenery (queen ann's lace) and tall tapers for $50 each

Drawback: love the look of tall CP

3. 1/2 tall callas and 1/2 low with roses and mini white callas to tie in the two CP's.

Drawback: Only comes to 200 dollars less than doing all tall.


Two things, the all tall version comes to almost 500 dollars less than the last quote I got. So I could do it all for $2500. The all low comes to $2200. The 1/2 and 1/2 comes to $2350.

More photos. The more I look at it, the more I feel like I want either tall flowers or tall candles.

The difference in prices is not so huge, I thought it would be like 500bucks! It's really all neck-n-neck.. and if tall is what you realllly want... then go for it! Use roses in the bok's, and less expensive flowers.

All Tall - you seem to be comparing the other options to all tall so I think this is really what you want. It will be worth the annoyance in the end! Plus I think Calla Lilies in tall CP would look so Nice!

Can I add another drawback...FH doesn't like it anymore? Hahahha....

ETA: He asked me if I thought it would look like a jungle in there with the tall callas!

At first, I was leaning towards the 1/2 and 1/2, but I agree w/ Kiddo on what she said. The $$ isn't a big difference, the room seems to call for tall, and it seems that's where you're leaning as well!

I personally don't like tall CP...thats just me. My cousin had his reception there last year and they did hydrageas in a bubble bowl and it was really pretty. Just a suggestion

I know I am not the majority...I dislike the high centerpieces bc I feel they get in the way of talking to the person across the table but it is a distraction from seeing the dance floor...I saw all low with the tapers!! I think the tall callas will make the room loose its ambience...The tall tapers will give the room a nice gleam...Even though the price difference is not that much, remember you can spend that extra couple of hundred on something else....Plus Frank doesn't like the 'french flowers' anymore

oh my gosh! you know too much! hehehe. I was looking at the gal's pics who got married a few months ago. She did low - very simple and very pretty. Hmmmmmm......

my mom is into using the FT's candelabras and having someone do a floral thing for them. i am thinking of that too.

all i know is i want high candles...using the FT's candelabras would work. i also know now that I want either to do all high or all low and no in-between because my MOMMY won't let me! (a whole other story!)

I am going to guess that you are talking about Nov.Bride....I loved her centerpieces...I was speaking with her prior to me deciding on what I wanted to do...When I saw her, I thought 'elegant'

I think using FT candlebra's would be a great idea, with the candles & then some type of flowers.....Ultimately it is your decision, but I think your best bet is the candlebras or the low centerpieces!!

i can't see those pics at work. those are veryyyyy pretty.

i was talking to Laurie from LA Blossom about the light packets that she did at the WOTY...it was so cool...in the bowl, they were lit up in blue and it was rad.

i'm thinking either the tall candelabras with flowers (mom's choice) or low with two tapers (frank's choice). it would be nice if i actually talk to him again about the candelabras!
