POLL - How much are you spending on your OOT baskets?

This stuff adds up! Just wondering what everyone else is doing.

I want to put in:

Bottle of LI Pindar Autumn Gold wine, LI Candle Factory Votive Candle in Beachwalk scent, Personalized Matchbook, NY Yankees Peanuts, Baby Ruth bar, Bazzooka Joe gum, Rocher chocolates, water bottles, etc.

It all adds up! But all of the above means something to us.

Just wondering what everyone else is spending...

Also, how many OOT baskets are you making?

Less than $5 each



I put the following in the bags:
two bottles of water
cans of diet coke, coke
two boxes of cereal
two packs of gum
one fruit cup
two granola bars
one cereal bar
cheez/crackers
peanut butter/crackers

I'm just doing one bottle of wine...Pindar in a basket...with an invitation to brunch the next day...we have a lot of out of town guests...I can't go nuts...it does add up...

do you know if you can buy smaller bottles of Pindar? I want to buy Pindar Autumn Gold, but I would rather get smaller bottles. Also, I want to buy about 30 bottles... any place that sells them cheaper for buying them in bulk?

I got all of our stuff at costco, so it wasn't that bad. Maybe $6-7 per person. We got:

bottles of water
mini packs of pringles
pretzl stick packs
soft cookie packs
hershey kisses to throw in the boxes
mini bottles of asprin (at BB&B, NOT cheap, $1 per bottle)

I think that is it.

All of our guests were from OOT, so we had to scale back. We bought 80 bags. Most of our bags were about $2. We bought everything from BJs, and the bags from Michaels when they went on sale.

However, DH's father and my sister came for the entire week before, so we gave them much more.

hershey kisses to throw in the boxes
mini bottles of asprin (at BB&B, NOT cheap, $1 per bottle)

ooh... 'boxes!' what a GREAT idea to do instead of bags or baskets!!!! BIG white BOXES! LOVE it!! Thanks! And we can make labels to put ON the boxes! and wrap them in the clear cellophane that I love to do... and stand up the wine bottle in the box.... wahoo!!! I can see it now!

I used gable boxes. But you can use a box that fits wine bottles (unless they are mini bottles, then probably you can use gable boxes too). Mine are 9'x6'x6'

ooohhh... what are gable boxes? I'm intrigued!!!

Never mind... found this one:

LOVE it... but this one is pricey...

any website suggestions on cheaper ones?
