Well Jodi and IrishTracey..I guess I fall into your area, I'm 38. People often use to ask me if I was ever going to get married, I use to say when I have time to meet the right guy. I swear most of my life was swept away with college and residency. My FI feels the same, so many years in school and residency the fellowship--it gets blurry. He use to be asked the same question. Honestly, I've had a few proposals in my life, glad I didn't take them up on it because I would've never found FH, actually we found each other.

I really give these younger ladies in their 20's credit. I was not mature enough to get married then I was busy being wild and studying. Then having to move all over because of school. Most of my friends got married within the last 2-3years they had the whole residency thing to finish too.
As soon as I get back from that honeymoon..I am going to become the baby making factory--God willing.

FH and I were both 25 when he proposed. We will be 27 when we get married.

I'm 31, and will probably be 33 when we get married. FH is 6 months younger than I am.

I don't know if I actually want to win this contest but at 44, I think I'm the old lady! Hell, I could have kids the same age as some of you! I thought I was doomed to just be the 'old maid of honor' at all my friends' weddings! To each his own, we all find our right time to marry, but I know it would have been a disaster for me to marry in my 20s. I was just having way too much fun. And the best part is, my fi and I actually dated for the first time when we were in our 20s. He was 4 yrs younger than me and I thought he was a nice guy but just not mature enough. Well 15 years passed, and our paths crossed again in May of 2001. And here we are getting married!

I'm 24 and I'll be 25 when we get married. My FI will be 28.

Roxalita....so glad to hear I am not the only 40 something bride. I was married once when I was in my 20's, but it didn't work out. Now 16 years later, after having thought I missed my chance, I met the love of my life and I have never ever been happier. Best of luck to you, and to all you lovely young brides. Enjoy this time and you will cherish it for the rest of your lives.

I'm 31 will be 32 on our wedding day. FH is 32 will be 33.

enagaged at 30, will be married at 31, my FH was engaged at 30 and married at 31 too..

i was engaged at 22 and married at 23- no body said that i was too young to get married because they know how me and my dh are together and that we were meant to be - they do say however, that we are too young for kids

I was engaged at 25 and will be married at 27 and 3/4s. My birthday is the following month.

I'm 32. I wanted to be settled in my career before I got married, I just finished my residency last year, so I finally have a full time job and very ready to get married! The age thing is totally individual.

I am 28 presently. I was 26 when I got engaged, and will be 29 when I get married. My FH is 6 months older than me. Yep, long engagement....with residency and all!!
