Poll: IF you were to move out of NY what would you miss

I will miss
White castles
Dirty water dogs
NY pizza
NY Bagels
the smell of the honey nut peanut vendors on the corners in the city (as much as that smell is nasty it definatly will be something I will miss)
Being able to grab cheese fries at 4am
Subways (as nasty as they are its just great that you can get anywhere in 4 of the of 5 bouroughs for just 2 dollars. It may take forever but you can still do it)

THe shopping...i.e. bloomies, nordstroms, and the AMERICANA...i live in syracuse right now and can never find anything...i don't know how people survive up here!

Well I'll still be working in NYC, but moving to Jersey (so not a really big change) but I will miss being able to order food at 3AM and getting dry cleaning delivered!! (I have been so spoiled with that stuff!)

I know what you mean about the dry cleaning being delivered. We have ours and the laundry picked up and delivered and its such a huge convience.

-the water (the difference between the North & South Shore is amazing...best of both worlds.)

-everything at our fingertips (shopping, good food, etc.)

-lots of culture/diversity

Ok, I moved out of NY and this is what I miss and why I am coming back:
My Family
Bagels
Pizza
The pace of life
the convenience of things
24 hour anything you need
24 hour public transportation
people who dare to drive over the speed limit
The produce
The beaches
The price of food in the grocery stores
the letter R ( I live near Boston )
The roads
The night life.....
I could go on...

I know what you mean. A guy my dad used to work with is from Boston and it would irrate me when he would talk to me. He would ask me if 'I paked the ca in the gage?' Then one time he gave me a 'bithday cad'

Their are 26 letters in the alphabet not 25 I wanted to tell him.

Being I AM away from Long Island, (NY ALL TOGETHER---IN RI!) I miss:

Family
Bagels
Pizza
The Convenience of the Beach
the whole NY Accent--I live in RI where nobody uses 'r's either...they listened t 'AH' Kelley, they pahk and they drink soder.....

I am from Sag Harbor, so the nightlife and 24 hour food is not too accessible--but I miss just hanging out in the backyard with my old HS Friends sipping wine and reminiscing....

Boy am I homesick...

Subways, I hate driving! Being able to walk anywhere I want to. Soho shopping-actually all NYC shopping. Brooklyn's parks. Lots of diversity and culture. Museums. NY Pizza. NY delis. The gourmet cheese shop at the corner. NYC politics. City noises in my window. Hmmm....lots of things...I guess I better not leave
