Here's the deal, I'm a little confused by the poor RSVP rate I have gotten for our GTG tomorrow night. For those who had RSVP'ed saying that they wanted to come and then backed out, that's fine and thank you for letting me know -- you can't avoid things popping up at the last minute.
When I took a poll a while back about dates, places and who was coming, I had close to 20 people -- now I have 7 not including us. In particular, I have not heard from the following, who had said they were coming when I first sent out the invite:
Janwinterbridejoy and DH Jan05Bride and DH (Maybe) MrsKinMay05 and FH regi and FH
Also, Jax had expressed interest, but I never got an RSVP.
So, see my question below in light of all this and let me know how we should proceed. Sorry if I am coming off harsh, but I don't want to waste my time or yours organizing something that people can't or don't want to attend

We got married in a Greek Orthodox church.. the Greeks don't do vows like you are used to in other demoninations.. i.e., we don't say ANY VOWS and certainly not ones that include 'OBEY'
OK.. granted.. didn't know that But my FW and all DW's know.. the man is the MASTER.. KING OF THE CASTLE>> His word is THE LAW. (as a Federal Prosecutor, you can respect that... LOL)

I'm sorry I haven't RSVPed....things have been crazier than usual this week. Things are still very up in the air in terms of having furniture delivered tomorrow and parents coming over, so I am not able to say definitely. I guess count us out, and we will try to make it to another one...

Well that kinda stinks, we were looking forward to going out and meeting new people, I am new to New York and don't have any friends other than FH's family. Oh well what can you do. I guess we'll meet next time.

aww, you guys that can make it shouldn't cancel the GTG just because its turning out to be a smaller group ... maybe just go out and meet for drinks as someone else said?
if we lived closer to queens we'd swing by after we did our moving for a drink, but we're way north in westchester

I have had an insane week. I have not even been on LIW for more than 2 mins all week. I have no idea what is going on with us b/c a good friend just died and I have spent every night with the family. We will try to come but if not this time, then next time.

i sent out a thread on monday asking for a final headcount, i then bumped this thread to the top of the list every day, so it was definitely there for all to see.
Bascially, I started out with 21 people and ended with 6, including us

maybe we can have it on bell blvd. It is really easy to get to and there are great bars(don424)you can watch the mets.

while that's a nice incentive -- the mets are 10 games out of first, no reason to watch
i always liked that place first edition on bell blvd
