Poll Re: our first dance song..

OK so our first dance song is heaven by bryan adams. It means a lot to us because (get ready to gag) it was playing during our first kiss.

Anyway since then two remakes have been made my DJ sammy... THe dance mix and the candleight remix

I thought it would be cute to use the dance version to kick off the party after our dance.. or is that too cheesy?!?!?

Also should we play the candlelight remix at all ... or is that too much?

I LOVE that song. I think it is great to have the original as the first dance and a great idea for the dance version to get the party started!

why not play the original as your first dance song and then play the dance version as the last song of the night?

That is a good idea. I dont think I would play them back to back even though they are two different versions.

I think you should play the original Bryan Adams version, and then throughout the reception play the DJ Sammy one...the original one rocks though!

OMG - you STEALER...that was my song.

The Candlelight version was/is always 'our song' but I wanted to USE bryan adams because I thought it would be peppier. But we stayed with that one.... And it was GREAT...so if you want the Candlelight...it'll be fine!

Second, we totally used it later in the night as a dance song so i say YES to that one!

It depends on what you're doing after your first dance. If you plan on having the guests join you, then do the dance mix after the slow song. If you're not doing this, I would just dance to the slow version only.

actually, unless you weren't playing full versions of each song. then your dj could cut into the fast version when ppl were supposed to get up and dance. but usually guests join you first for a slow dance........so..........nevermind! LOL!
