FH and I have finalized our HM choices--either Sandals Grande Ocho Rios or Couples Ocho Rios. They are both in the same location, roughly the same price for simliar rooms--so therefore it comes down to the resort itself in general. Please let me know which you would pick?!
If you think there is another option--please let me know. We want an adults only all incluvsive resort. (Oh and we can't do Secrets Punta Cana cause it will be closed when we go on our HM in Feb. 2007--so don't suggest that!) LOL

I have been to a Sandals - but not the one you are considering. I would go to another Sandals in a heart beat. My SIL has been to many Sandals and has loved the service, food, atmosphere at all of them, so I would vote for Sandals. I have no experience or don't know anyone who has been to a Couples. Have you checked out trip advisor for both of them?

I would say Sandals too....that is where we went and they are really amazing.
BUT you will need some money. It is true that you NEVER tip (seriously, they can get fired) but if you need something or want to go on some type of excursion, they cost money. We only did one, shopping in the town and it cost $18 per person, but some of them were expensive!

yes i looked at them both on tripadvisor--couples was voted #4 and sandals #6 in the popularity index! it's like they are neck and neck!
although i did find a rather negative review for sandals as the most recent. someone stated there is a lot of false advertising involved with sandals grande....and the rooms at the riviera section (where we would stay) are run-down!
i am ready to trying to figure out which one to go to!

I drove myself NUTZ over trying to decide about Sandals. ESPECIALLY after reading all the Trip Advisory stuff.
But, I chose the Sandals Grande and I'm VERY happy and VERY excited to go there.
Remember: There will ALWAYS be negative, as well as positive, wherever you go.

I just came back from my Honeymoon at Sandals Grande in St. Lucia and would go back tomorrow if I could! I don't much about the ones you're considering though

i have been to sandals montego bay and i am also banging my head against the wall after reading trip advisor. i want to book ocho rios also but i keep second guessing myself.
my sis went to sandals twice and was extremely satisfied both times. i loved it when i went also so i think i'm just going to go with it.
good luck and i'm sure that you will make it a great time no matter where you go. it is a honeymoon...
